RAISE A TOAST TO WESTONS CIDER MILL RETURNING AS HEADLINE PARTNER AT MALVERN AUTUMN SHOW

Westons Cider Mill returns for the fourth year as Headline Partner at Malvern Autumn Show in 2018.  As the layout of the much loved ultimate harvest festival has changed this year, be sure not to miss the Westons Cider Garden in its NEW location, just off Avenue F.  Holding pride of place at the centre of the action, the Westons Cider Garden provides the perfect pit stop to savour a pint and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show.

Westons Cider has been lovingly produced in the Herefordshire village of Much Marcle for nearly 140 years. The Mill is nestled on a hillside, right in the heart of the counties renowned apple and perry orchards. Still family-owned, it is one of the largest independent cider makers in the UK today.  Visitors can find out how the cider magic happens with a tour and tutored tasting experience, learning how the award-winning brands are made, from blossom to bottle, with one of the daily tours of the mill.  There is a play park for the children with swings and a zip wire and a chance to meet the Westons’ shire horses; ‘Reg’ and ‘Prince’.  Some beautiful footpath walks can be discovered through the orchards and end the day with a delicious, home cooked meal. The Scrumpy House Restaurant has a selection of locally sourced specials or for a lighter offering there is the Orchard Tea Rooms, serving beautiful cakes and sandwiches. Visitors can take time out at the Mill and enjoy a fantastic, fun-filled day with all the family and a refreshing cider or two.

Speaking of the partnership, Diana Walton, Head of Shows, at Three Counties said “We are delighted that Westons is returning as Headline Partner for the fourth year at Malvern Autumn Show.  Individually both our companies have a rich heritage spanning generations but jointly, working in partnership, our association goes back decades too.  Westons’ strong community ethos aligns perfectly with the work we strive to achieve here at Three Counties.  It’s a pleasure to be able to provide a platform for Westons to showcase their pioneering, original approach; creating authentic, award-winning ciders but remaining true to their roots with organic orchards which are 100% natural and free from chemicals and pesticides.”

Helen Thomas, Managing Director of Westons added “We are exceptionally proud of our local roots and esteemed heritage.  Most of our 200 strong staff live nearby in the neighbouring villages and towns so we enjoy giving back to the community when we can.  Aside from the apples and pears in our own 100 year old orchards, all the other fruit for our ciders is soured from around the three counties, which is important for the rural economy.  Supporting this impressive show that puts local artisan food and drink producers on the map is a natural fit for us.  We look forward to celebrating the harvest and raising a glass or two with the show visitors.”

At the show look out for Westons new Stowford Press Mixed Berries cider launched at Royal Three Counties Show.  If you’d like to a case of cider home with you, then this couldn’t be easier, with Westons case sales at both main North and South Entrances just a short walk from the car parks.
